About us
Labisa Advogados is a boutique law firm specialized in Shipping Law and Energy Law.
Established as an independent law firm in 2001 by António Castilho Labisa, a lawyer with over 40 years experience, our team of lawyers, graduated from the most renowned Law School in Lisbon – Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa, is backed by highly-trained internal secretarial, translation and administrative staff.

Our office provides services in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
The firm has a very close relationship with major law offices in many European countries (UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Poland and Sweden) as well as in the United States, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Cape Verde and Brazil.
The firm also has cooperation agreements with firms acting in the Free Trade Zone of Madeira since 1991, namely in ship and mortgage registration, ship finance and corporate law.
